Panax ginseng C. A. Mey is a perennial herb with a cool, leaf-free stomata and palisade structure that does not retain moisture. Ginsenoside A (C42H72O14) is ginsenoside Rg1 (ginsenoside Rg1). Ginsenoside B and C are hydrolyzed to produce panaxatriol saponin, and ginsenoside D, E and F are hydrolyzed to obtain 20-epiprotopanaxo-diol saponin. Further, β-elemene (C15H24) was separated from the low-boiling portion of the ether extract. The high boiling fraction partially separates panaxynol (C17H26O).
