Schisandra is a dry mature fruit of Schisandra chinensis (Turcz.) Bail. or Schisandra sphenanthera Rehd. et Wils. The former is called "Northern Schisandra", and the latter is called "Southern Schisandra."
When the autumn fruit is ripe, it is picked, dried or steamed, and dried to remove the fruit stems and impurities. Tang and other "new revision of the grass" contained "five flavors of meat and sweet, the core is hard, have a salty taste", so there is the name of Schisandra.
